Yakima Truck Bed Ladder Rack Recovery Track Mount Installation - 2023 Ford F-150

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Recovery Board Bracket for our sidebar that works with our Yakima Outpost HD truck bed system. The Yakima Recovery Board Bracket can support up to four recovery boards. For our example, I've just grabbed a couple MAXTRAX MKII boards. They're thicker and they're a little bit beefier boards and they fit just fine as far as the clearance between the top of your HD bar and the bottom of the side of the bed. So they go on really easily. You just wanna try to bear in mind the size of your boards as far as the spacing between the front and rear brackets. more

Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2014 Ford F-150, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for towed vehicles. Before we do that, though, let's take a minute, check this out, and talk about why it's a good idea to use something like this. So before we jump right in, I figured it'd be useful just to touch base on the main parts that we're gonna need to flat tow our truck down the road in the first place. And there's gonna be a total of five of them. You have your base plate which connects to our truck's frame and allows us to hook our tow bar up to it. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles Installation - 2021 Ford F-150- Video

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles Installation - 2021 Ford F-150

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster charge line kit on a 2021 Ford F150. Adding a charge line to your F150 is a great option because the battery stays in the accessory mode and stays on while flat towing. Your braking system always uses a little bit of 12 volt power as well. So as you're going down the road that battery's gonna wanna drain and you wanna be able to trickle charge that to make sure that it doesn't die while towing, but also you won't have to jumpstart it when you get to your campsite. Having a charge line is going to accomplish that for you. It's very simple, it just ties into your six pole and that will get the 12 volt source via your umbilical from the RV run to your circuit breaker. more

Yakima JetStream Crossbars Kit Installation - 2021 Ford F-150

How's it going everyone Today we are going to be taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack system, installing it and explaining how it works on our 2021 Ford F-150. So, with the F-150 we have a good amount of bed storage, but if you want to get some longer or larger items, like say a kayak, or maybe you want to use this in conjunction with like a ladder rack system to get some longer loads up on top of your roof, this is gonna be a great option to do so. So, let's take a closer look at how it works. As far as the weight capacity goes of our roof rack system, it is really robust, but you want to keep a couple things in mind, that being the fact that the system itself has a weight, the accessories that you're gonna put on 'em. Also we're going to add to that, and your roof is going to be rated for a specific weight as well. Make sure you check the owner's manual in your case, find out what that weight rating is and make sure that all of the components, including the roof rack and the accessories don't exceed that limit. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2022 Ford F-150

Hey, everybody. How's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line kit here on a 2022 Ford F-150. So a battery charge line kit simply put is gonna take the motor home's battery and charge the battery here on the vehicle while you're out in tow. Now, this is important because sometimes the vehicle battery can actually drain while you're in tow. So if you arrive to your destination with a dead battery, you're gonna need a way to fix that and that's where the charge line comes into play. That's gonna ensure you never have a dead battery when you get to your campsite. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Air Force One SMI supplemental braking system for a second vehicle. With the wiring in place, we'll mount out bracket, in this case we're mounting it about halfway up the kick panel under the steering wheel. To mount it we use the two self-tapping screws that came included with out kit. Now that our bracket's in place we'll take the mounting clip for our brake controller and we'll screw that in using the included machine screws that came with the kit. Now that the brackets mounted, take our wiring harness, plug it the back of the brake controller and set our brake controller up in place. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2009 Ford F150

Today we are going to install a Prodigy Brake Controller, part number 90185 on our 2009 Ford F-150, and we are going to use the accompanying brake control adapter and show you how it gets installed. This is a little bit different from previous models. The plug for the brake controller is actually behind this tray right here. What happens is, this panel comes off, and then we get behind the tray - unscrew the tray - and the connection is right behind it. All right, what we are going to do first is go ahead and just take off this panel right here. And it is actually pretty easy. Just give a gentle pull on the bottom and just work your way up. And start on the right-hand side, so that way you can pull it out from underneath this piece here. When you do pull on this, this little panel here will come back toward you, too, and give you a little bit of extra room to pull it out. more
